Melissa and Julie lucked out with perfect weather and a perfect setting – Melissa’s parents’ waterfront home in Marion, Mass. – for their July 2011 wedding day. Family and friends gathered for an intimate open-air ceremony (our pine flooring created the center aisle) before enjoying cocktails overlooking the harbor.

The 46′ x 85′ reception tent, decorated with Asian lanterns and floral arrangements by A Wareham Florist, was sited at the lawn’s edge, right before the property’s private beach. As day turned into evening, dinner by East Meets West Catering made way for dancing to DJ Deja.

Caroline and Kurt chose to have their June wedding reception at a family member’s waterfront home in Mattapoisett, MA, where guests took in long stretches of ocean views. The day’s festivities began with a cocktail reception held under and around a 46′ round and then everyone gathered inside the 66′ x 66′ for dinner.

Leave it to event planner Wendy Joblon to envision such a fun, relaxed ambience without compromising elegance. Pretty pink floral arrangements by Sayles Livingston provided pops of color throughout the tent. After dinner by Harriet’s Catering, guests headed out onto our pine dance floor to start the party, interrupted only when everyone lined up for sundaes from an ice cream bar!

It was a memorable event to celebrate a loving couple, and every moment was perfectly captured by SNAP! Photography, whose photos we always love.

The lucky attendees of this Osterville fundraiser enjoyed great weather and a classic clambake, complete with raw bar and chowder. Planner Desiree Spinner of Desiree Spinner Events masterminded the day, grouping cocktails in one round Sperry Tent and dining in a larger oval.

A red-and-yellow color palette united the floral arrangements by Sara Hamilton (of Desiree Spinner Events), the checkered linens by La Tavola, and the red chivari chairs from Rentals Unlimited.

Our copper onion lanterns were the perfect lighting choice for this decidedly nautical event.

This couple celebrated their wedding day with friends, family, flowers, fanfare – and a brand-new tent design by the makers of Sperry Tents! The Sperry Pavilion was designed by sailmakers and woodworkers and is now one of the most unique frame tents available for weddings and special events. Comprised of an ivory sailcloth top and a natural wood frame, it offers a clear (pole-free) interior span.

The Pavilion partnered perfectly with the stately Wadsworth Mansion in Middletown, Connecticut, for a lovely summer wedding. Situated perfectly on the outdoor terrace, it hosted drinks and dancing, acting as a creative destination for guests after an indoor dinner. Pine dance floor underfoot and glowing Asian lanterns overhead drew guests in for the entire night.

The setting was the bride’s family home in Ashburnham, Mass., where the bride’s mother and two sisters also held their wedding receptions. The property was originally used as a dairy farm and stagecoach inn throughout the years. Its stretches of fields perfectly accommodated a 32′ x 90′ main reception tent and a 46′ round for cocktails.

Event coordinator Trish Desantis of Moxie Events along with caterer Smoke and Pickles both ensured a seamless day from start to finish.

Held at the bride’s parents’ home in Charlestown, Rhode Island, this wedding reception took cues from its garden surroundings, from the clover-covered cake to the twinkling balls of wooden branches in the cocktail tent. Our geometric fly connector created a seamless transition between the 32 x 90 reception tent and the 24 round cocktail tent.

Dinner by A Thyme to Cook catering and dancing to the live band The Cartells made for a great reception that lasted well into the night. Special thanks to IRIS Photography for allowing us to post their beautiful images. Thanks again!

It was a fifth anniversary party for Edible Boston, and true to the magazine’s reputation, the food was amazing! Our Sperry farm tables were covered in an array of hors d’oeuvres and desserts supplied and created by area farms, caterers, and food companies.

Held on a beautiful summer’s evening at placid Allandale Farm in Brookline, Mass., the party celebrated fresh, local, and oftentimes organic fare. Guests enjoyed freshly shucked oysters, pizza, cheeses, fresh greens, chocolates, pastries, and wine and cocktails from local sources.

Edible Boston tapped into their creative juices and decorated the 32 x 70 Sperry Tent with potted flowers, hung between center and perimeter poles. Even the 20 x 30 catering tent hosted grids of magazine covers.

Congratulations Edible Boston on achieving five years and best of luck going forward! We were happy to attend and participate.

Tabor Academy‘s 2011 Alumni Weekend was a great success! We were very pleased to create an elaborate “village” of seven Sperry Tents: a 66′ x 86′, (2) 24′ x 44′s, (2) 32′ x 50′s, a 32 round, and a 20′ x 40′. The large main tent  held a buffet dinner, dance floor, and dining tables for five-year Tabor alums, while the perimeter tents hosted dinners for different alumni classes.

This setup was just a test run – the next time this 46 x 65 Sperry Tent goes up it will have its signature pennant flags atop each peak. We’re looking forward to seeing more pictures as the season progresses.

Sperry Tents was pleased to once again provide the Alumni Tent on the Chapel Lawn for Belmont Hill School, a private school in Belmont, Mass. The extensive setup began a few days before the actual events, which included a “Celebration of Track and Field” on Thursday and a gala alumni cocktail reception on Friday evening.

The 64 x 124 Sperry Tent was decorated with copper onion lanterns, perimeter string lights, a variety of school banners, and table linens in Belmont’s school colors.
